Dear Mayfair Marlins Families,

We’re gearing up for our second meet of the season on Tuesday, June 3 at the Savannah Yacht Club (271 Bradley Point Rd, Savannah, GA 31410). Here’s everything you need to know to have a great time:

Key Details:

• Warm-up: 5:00 PM
• Meet Start: 6:00 PM
• Arrive by 5:30 PM to make sure your swimmer is ready for warm-up.

HEAT SHEET & ATHLETE CHECK-IN

• The heat sheet is attached – print one for your family. The athlete check-in sheet is also attached, showing events by athlete.

DOWNLOAD THE SWIMTOPIA APP:

• It’s the best way to keep track of your family’s entries, volunteer signups, and swim history. Plus, you’ll get updates and notifications for upcoming events. (Pro subscription available for more detailed meet/swimmer info!)

CONCESSIONS:

• The Savannah Yacht Club will have food and drinks for purchase. Please note that outside food or coolers are not allowed at the Yacht Club.

ATHLETES - WHAT TO WEAR:

• Team suit or royal, navy, etc. Swim caps, goggles, towel, and water are a must! Coaches prefer all swimmers to wear caps.

CAPS:

• If you didn’t pick up your cap last week, coaches will have them available at the meet.

ATHLETE CHECK-IN:

• Upon arrival, find one of the coaches to check in. We’ll also have temporary tattoos for each swimmer!

BEFORE YOUR EVENT:

• Send your swimmer to the coaches a few events before their race at the starting blocks. We’ll check them in for each event!

PARENTS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

• Thanks to the parents that already signed up. We couldn't manage this meet without you. We still need volunteers for timers (3) and bullpen (1) duties. Sign up on Swimtopia. New to meets? Don’t worry! Our seasoned parents and swimmers will be happy to help.

PATRIOTIC THEME:

• This week’s theme is Tie Dye! Please wear your Mayfair 2025 Tie Dye shirts and join us for a fun team photo at the meet.

HEAT WINNERS:

• Heat peace necklaces will be awarded to each heat winner. For combined events, the top girl and top boy will receive prizes!

HEAT SHEET:

• Remember to print the heat sheet and write your swimmer’s event (E), heat (H), and lane (L) numbers on their arm or leg with a Sharpie before the meet. If this is your first meet, don’t worry – older swimmers and coaches will be there to assist!
• There is a chance some of the events with a few swimmers may be combined. Coach Emily and other coaches will let you know as soon as that's determined. It would mean boys/girls in the same event/age swim at the same time, so their lanes may change. It is more of a timer adjustment as swimmers will already be behind the blocks. Thank you for being flexible and helping the meet run smoothly.

RIBBONS & TIMES:

• We’ll publish times and distribute ribbons after the meet.
